Continuum of Care (CoC)

General Info

Athens-Clarke County has its own Continuum of Care (CoC) that receives funding directly from HUD and distributes to a number of local housing programs. The Athens-Clarke County CoC is made up of three key entities. The first is the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Housing and Community Development Department (HCD) who serves as the collaborative applicant and administers the CoC grants. The second is the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) who serves as the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) Administrator. The third component is the CoC Governing Board which is a group of service provider representatives and community advocates who govern the various business and affairs of the CoC. More information regarding Continuum of Cares can be found on HUD's site, and more information regarding the Athens-Clarke County CoC can be found on ACCGov's site.
